Do we need a separate translation device?
No. VoicePing Offline Translation runs in the VoicePing mobile app on supported iOS and Android devices, so teams can use an existing phone instead of carrying dedicated translator hardware.
Can two people use one phone?
Yes. Offline Translation is designed for a bilingual face-to-face exchange in which both people can follow the source, translation, and reply on one shared phone.
Are offline conversations uploaded to the cloud?
No cloud processing is required for the offline exchange. Speech recognition and translation run on the prepared phone, and the offline transcript remains available locally on that device.
What must I download before going offline?
Download the speech-recognition model and every required language package while you still have a connection. Confirm the spoken and translation languages are marked ready before starting the offline session.
Which languages work offline?
VoicePing supports eight offline languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Thai. Cantonese can be recognized as spoken input, but is not available as an offline translation output.
